International Gorilla Conservation Program(IGCP)/African Wild Life Foundation (AWF) is a coalition of the three International Conservation Organisations (including AWF) formed in 1991 to ensure the long term conservation of the mountain Gorilla and its regional afro-montane forest habitat.  The program operates in the three countries that share the habitat of the mountain Gorillas,Rwanda,Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC) and works in close partnership with each country’s protected area authorities.
AWF/IGCP contributed to the NCDF development foundation and foundation to make it a legal entity to bring on board the community voice conservation.  Through USAID Grant IGCP/AWF has been able to mobiles funds for NCDF Management Development activities like construction of a lodge where 250,000 US Dollars was contributed towards the construction.  There is further collaboration in the management of the buffer zone, skills training for bee keeping, handcrafts and general  buffer zone management. 
IGC P has committed to further collaboration to ensure that NCDF stands on its own as a self sustaining institution.

The Uganda Safari Company is a well known private tourism operator with high end tourism facilities in Uganda.  It is the company NCDF is partnering with to Manage their Lodge “Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge”.  It is this which generates the major Income of NCDF that is used for Capital Developments Projects.

Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is the government entity that oversees Uganda’s National Parks network  and all the activities done especially for tourism in the Park. It is a major partner with NCDF.  It has already given NCDF exclusivity for 6(six) Gorilla permits of Nkuringo Group.  It has also committed its self to NCDF on buffer zone management and its NCDF-UWA Joint Management Board, the participation in NCDF activities especially elections, registration, and constitutional review shows good will and commitment to make a NCDF a conservation and live hood partner.

Local Government: This is one of the pillars on which  NCDF is built,NCDF will utilse its linkages with the sub counties as the core unit of decentralization and the district to ensure that constant up to-dates are shared such that when there is need for support the local governments identify with NCDF  as a partner in Development.  To date NCDF has been able to lobby for the district support and succeeded in getting an award to manage a district forest (BUNIGA pocket forest) which will be generating some revenue, and the sub county Chair persons are ex-officials of the Board.
