
NCDF has a first class eco-Lodge that consists of
8 Cottages with Excellent view of the great Western Rift Valley and volcano ranges.
6 single, 2 Family cottages.
Cottages are self contained each with a sufficient verandah, Sitting room, fire place and Bedroom with warm water and flushing toilets.
The Bar is fully stocked with wines, Spirits, Beers and Soft drinks.
It has a restraint that offers both Traditional and western dishes.
NCDF has trained women groups to make hand crafts for sale in
and outside the country to tourists reflecting African culture. It has craft shop one at its office which is strategically positioned opposite the UWA offices in Nkuringo and
4 Craft centres where all those crafts are made from. it can also be arranged
for the tourists who may want to visit the craft centres.
Atleast 13 families have benefited from the heifer project by getting free of charge Heifers to supplement on their incomes and nutrition. Under this project heifers are revolving grants whereby when it produces, a heifer born is given to another house hold ready to manage it in the same Nkuringo community.
Atleast 260 families in Nteko and Rubuguri parishes have received piglets on a revolving system basis to boost their incomes
5. SPONSORSHIPS
At least 6 Visitors who stayed in our lodge have managed to sponsor 6 children from our community whereby 5 pupils have been sponsored on the primary Education Level while 1 in a secondary Education level.
4 visitors have also sponsored us on School Vegetable gardens so that pupils can get lunch at school.
6. NCDF developed community walks for tourists to be able to interact with local people who were leaving with Gorillas.
In these communities tourists are able to see; stools/chairs, local Beer brewing, Grinding stones, Traditional healers using local herbs, Story teller and Black smith.

7. Batwa Trail: NCDF developed a trail to see the Batwa communities and their culture. The Batwa are commonly called pygmies and they were living in Bwindi Forest before it was declared a protected area. These people have a unique culture of living and entertainment.
8. Traditional Healer
NCDF has a traditional healer who cures different diseases using traditional local herbs in curing different diseases ranging from malaria to madness.
9. Visit one of the Kiga homestead to see how a traditional Kiga home is run.
10. On a panoramic Nkuringo hill the old men relate the origins of people of Nteko
11.Buniga Pocket Forest.
This forest surrounds our lodge and it has a number of bird species, Lowest Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black and white Columbus monkeys, Chimpanzee, etc
